I have been such a fan of robotic vacuums since they first appeared on the market, but never had a chance to get my hands on one. I mean, what mom wouldn’t want a vacuum that cleaned the floor by itself? The Hoover® Quest™ 700 Robotic Vacuum is completely amazing! Right out of the box, this vacuum was ready to go. The box even supplied a quick start guide with photo directions on how to set everything up. To start, I had to find a good place to plug in my docking station. This was probably the hardest part of the entire set up as there must be three foot of clearance on each side of the dock. Everything after that was extremely simple. I had to turn the vacuum on (switch located on the bottom), place it on the docking station (LED lights will turn blue to indicate charging), and allow it to charge for 4-5 hours.
While my vacuum was charging, I downloaded the Hoover mobile app (available on iTunes and Google Play) and set up my invisible wall. The Hoover mobile app allows me to completely control my Hoover® Quest™ 700 via bluetooth straight from my phone. I have the option to start a cleaning cycle, control the direction of my vacuum, spot clean, schedule a cleaning cycle, view battery life, and return my vacuum to its docking station. Although this vacuum came with a basic remote, I found the app much easier to use overall. I scheduled my Quest™ 700 to clean at 8:00 am every morning after I leave for work. If we come home and the kids make a mess (which happens basically everyday) , I can use the spot clean option to focus on one specific area of my home. From this app I can also turn on my invisible wall which I thought was a pretty neat addition. The invisible wall allows me to keep my Hoover® Quest™ 700 out of specific rooms that I don’t want cleaned.
Of course I was a bit skeptical of the actual cleaning power of a robotic vacuum because they are very tiny and lightweight. I thought for sure this Quest™ 700 would be no match for the kids, our dog, and our cat. To test it out, I poured coffee creamer around our floor and let the vacuum do its work. Although this vacuum has a spot cleaning option which focuses on one main mess, I decided not to use it. I wanted to see if the Quest™ 700 would detect the mess on its own. After one pass, the creamer was basically gone, however there was a little bit of sticky residue left over. Much to my surprise the vacuum turned around and made a second pass over the creamer making it completely disappear!
Once my vacuum was finished cleaning up the mess, I decided to test out how easy it is to clean it out. To empty the dirt cup all I had to do was slide the top panel off, pull the dust bin out, and remove the filter. Once the filter was out I could dump the contents of the bin into the trash and wash everything off with warm clear water. Cleaning the main brushes was extremely easy as well. All I had to do was unscrew and remove the brushes, remove the debris, and screw the brushes back in. Completely cleaning my Quest™ 700 took me less than ten minutes. I must say that after only one pass around my house (not even a full cleaning cycle), I was extremely surprised at how much dirt and grime I removed from the dust bin!
Overall, I am extremely thrilled I finally got my hands on one of these! The Hoover® Quest™ 700 Robotic Vacuum has completely surpassed my expectations! In a house full of kids and pets, it did a great job of cleaning up and saved me a TON of time! This is honestly every mother’s dream and I believe EVERYONE should own one! Being able spend less time cleaning and spend more time with my kids has been amazing! Hoover® never fails to impress!

This sounds like a reliable vacuum! I’ve never seen this one before but it’s definitely on my list in case I need to replace my current vacuum!

Looks like Hoover is trying to go up against Roomba. I love my Roomba and it only has to do one pass. But the Hoover has a much bigger tray so you don’t have to clean it out as often.

What? A hoover that hoovers itself is an absolute miracle. Can I have one?

I’ve always wanted to get one but there’s so many things around the house that’s gonna hinder its movement. Heh, I may have to do some spring cleaning.

I need one of these Hoover vacuums. Our husky is about to shed his winter coat and it’s not going to be a pretty sight. More so now that we have a second pup.
