Alycat And The Thursday Dessert Day by Alysson Foti Bourque

Alycat And The Thursday Dessert Day by Alysson Foti Bourque was too cute for words! This story revolves around Alycat, an adorable little kitten, who is extremely excited for Thursday dessert day at school. She spends all day dreaming about the endless dessert possibilities and ends up missing dessert day altogether! The story ends with Alycat creating her very own unique dessert at home. My daughter really loved this book. The story was very easy to follow and the illustrations went along perfectly! My daughter and I both loved that the author included a recipe for Alycat’s Popcorn Popsicles and we plan on making some very soon! As the mother of a very picky eater, I was really excited that this book emphasized on the importance of trying new things. Maybe now my daughter will be more like Alycat and try something new today (fingers crossed). I can’t wait to read future Alycat stories with my daughter and believe this series will be extremely successful!
