Did you know that April 23rd was National Picnic Day? Having little picnics with my daughter is one of our favorite mommy/daughter activities. There is nothing better than grabbing a blanket and sitting down with family to find out how their week is going. Plus, with such busy schedules my daughter really enjoys this one-on-one time every so often. In honor of National Picnic Day, I will be sharing some of Kinsley and I’s favorite picnic-ready snacks. Take my advice, grab some snacks, and plan a family outing today!
Picnic-friendly products we’ve tried:
Gaea Olive Snack Packs– Both my daughter and myself are obsessed with olives. These Gaea Olive Snack Packs are the perfect size for picnic baskets! Not only are they individually packaged, but they are resealable and liquid free! Kinsley and I can snack a bit, and then save the rest for later! Gaea Olive Snack Packs come in a wide variety of yummy flavors such as pitted green and pitted kalamata. These olives are all preservative free, reduced salt, and are completely organic! These are always a huge hit.
Welch’s Fruit Snacks– What would a picnic be without Welch’s Fruit Snacks?!? We almost ALWAYS have a box of Welch’s snacks nearby. These snacks come in 10 different flavors such as Mixed Fruit, Berries N’ Cherries, and Island Fruits. My daughter and I both agree that Berries N’ Cherries are the #1 flavor, but my brother swears by the Tangy Fruit packs. All Welch’s Fruit Snacks are fat free, and gluten free. They also have no preservatives and are a great source of Vitamin C and Vitamins A & E. These snacks are always a no-brainer for us!
Other picnic-friendly products you may enjoy:
AquaBall– AquaBalls are preservative free and naturally flavored water. Sweetened with Stevia Leaf extract, these drinks are sugar free and have ZERO calories. These drinks come in flavors such as Berry Frost, Fruit Punch, Grape, and Strawberry Lemonade. The kid-friendly bottles also come decorated with characters from lots of fun Disney and Marvel’s Avengers characters such as Rapunzel, Mickey, Olaf, and Captain America!
The Little Kernel– This popcorn is popped in 100% pure olive oil which makes them an overall healthier snack alternative. Each bag is gluten-free, non-GMO, dairy-free, kosher and certified whole grains. This popcorn comes in flavors like Naked, Truffle Sea Salt, Butter, Sweet & Salty, Pink Himalayan Salt, and White Cheddar. These bags are the perfect size for on-the-go and are only 150 calories per bag, so there is no question as to why these are on our picnic must-have list.
