My daughter Kinsley loves playing with baby dolls, but most dolls lose her interest after a few weeks. That all changed when her Starpath Doll arrived! Starpath Dolls are 18-inch lifelike dolls that come in a variety of ethnic backgrounds. When paired with their personalized chapter books, Starpath Dolls encourage girls aged 5-9 to escape into the magical world of their stories. I let Kinsley choose her own doll out of the four doll options avaliable. Since each doll has her own personality, Kinsley was able to pick a doll that matched her perfectly. The dolls included Morning Star, Shining Star, Wishing Star, and Wandering Star. Kinsley decided to go with the Shining Star doll because she looks and sounds just like her! Kinsley is very bubbly and playful, and also has no issues making friends. I was very satisfied with her selection.

Once we selected a doll, we had the option to make her personalized Starpath Doll book. There were two books to choose from which included “A Fairy Tale Gone Wrong” and “Tiger Magic”. As a mother, I found it adorable that this was an option. I could place my daughter along with her new best friend right into their very own story! My daughter selected “A Fairy Tale Gone Wrong” and was extremely eager to personalize it. When creating her book Kinsley was asked to provide information like her favorite color, her best friend’s name, her hair lenght/color, and her eye color. We were even asked to include our dog’s name as well as Kinsley’s nicknames for her grandparents! I was amazed at how much detail the book required to really put Kinsley directly into the story!
Personalized Book Story Lines:
A Fairy Tale Gone Wrong- “Making the exact same birthday wish, you and your best friend accidentally find yourselves inside the Cinderella fairy tale! Now it is your job to keep the story on track so Cinderella will wind up with her prince and you can return home safely to your family. A visit by the Fairy Godmother, a trip to the Royal Ball, and a ride on a magic swan await you on your adventure.”
Tiger Magic- “A mysterious cat leads you and your best friend on a magical journey to the jungles in India. Suddenly, it is up to you to protect an endangered tiger cub from poachers who want to capture it for money. You will also make an Indian friend and learn about her life in a village, and what she finds important. “
It has been a few days since we received our Starpath Doll (now renamed Mia), and Kinsley hasn’t left her side. Everything we do, Mia comes along for the ride. Seeing Kinsley interact with her doll is absolutely adorable. She is able to brush Mia’s hair, and change her clothes which makes the doll so much more life-like! I plan on purchasing a few additional outfits from the Starpath Doll website as well as the swan accessory which matches Kinsley’s personalized book. I am so thrilled that Starpath Dolls are now available. These dolls are perfect and girls around the world are able to relate to their wide variety of backgrounds! I’ve not heard of these dolls before. My mother in law loves American Girl Dolls though. They looks quite similar. I should tell her about these ones.

Dolls nowadays are so different from the dolls I grew up with. Hopefully some day I will have a baby girl and experience buying dolls for her. For now, I’m enjoying buying toy cars and trucks for my little boy. 🙂

They are very cute dolls. My daughter really likes the American Girl ones or the Target brand equivalent ones that we have as the American Girl ones can get so expensive.

That’s a very nice doll! For now I am making most of my baby’s toys with crochet but once she gets older for this type of dolls I am sure she’ll love it!
