Bookcase Club: May

I know last month I said I wished BookCase Club would send more classics, but I am 100% satisfied with my daughter’s May box. I have never seen or heard of any of the books in this month’s box, nor did I recognize any of the authors.  We received a copy of The Grasshopper & The Ants by Jerry Pinkney, Olga The Cloud by Nicoletta Costa, Pest In Show by Victoria Jamieson, and The House That’s Your Home by Sally Lloyd-Jones. The total approximate value of the books in this month’s box is $39.25. I have never read any of these books personally, but my daughter mentioned seeing The Grasshopper & The Ants at our library. I found that this month’s books weren’t just silly little children’s books, but they each had their own special message to send. For example, The Grasshopper & The Ants teaches the value of hard work and sharing!  Olga The Cloud, in my opinion, was about finding a place to fit in. I am extremely glad I had the chance to read these four new stories.
