As a single mother, I am always going the extra mile to keep my family safe. Heck, as a mother in general I would do anything possible to keep an extra eye on my family and my property. I have been looking into security systems for a while, but never had the funds to actually get one installed. A $600 system, a $200 install, and a $40/month subscription fee will probably never be in my budget. That is why I was so excited to find ZOSI Security Camera Systems! ZOSI offers inexpensive security systems with simple self-installation and no monthly fee! With a wide variety of systems, I was able to choose a camera system that was the perfect fit for my home. I selected the ZOSI 8-Channel Security System with four waterproof cameras, a 1TB hard drive, motion alert, and smartphone remote access which retails for UNDER $150! This specific camera system offers USB port Back up which gives me the option backing up and transferring video footage to a USB flash drive if I would ever need to bring any footage to the police.
This system arrived fairly quickly and included one H.264 8CH 1080N HD-TVI DVR , four 1280TVL 720P Bullet Cameras , four 60FT CCTV cables, two 2V/2AD power supplies, one splitter cable, and one 1TB pre-installed hard drive. I was surprised at how easily everything was to set up. From start to finish, this system was up and running within two hours. I believe installing the cameras themselves is what took the most work since we had to figure out what we wanted to focus the cameras on. Once we installed the cameras on each end of the house, we wired them to the DVR which is located in my bedroom for easy access. The DVR easily hooked up to my internet with a ethernet cable (not included) and connected to my TV with an HDMI cable (not included). The DVR walked me through a quick setup (date, time, admin password, etc), and within seconds our real-time video was showing on the screen! Since this system connects to our personal wifi, there is no monthly system fee!I was able to set my DVR up so that all four cameras were showing on the screen at once. By double clicking a specific camera, I was able to zoom in and watch one camera at a time. The ZOSI system was extremely easy to navigate and within a few minutes of messing around with the system I was able to rewind my footage as well as set motion detection and alarms. I set the motion detection to activate when I am not home or when everyone in our home is sleeping. To save hard drive space, Motion Detection Recording only records when motion is detected. I can continuously record for up to 30+ days before running out of storage space. I set the device to automatically overwrite the oldest internally stored footage so that I wouldn’t need to save unwanted footage. If my footage needs to be saved, I can transfer those video files to a USB or external hard drive for use later. On each camera, we are able to see the date as well as the time the footage was captured. If needed, I can rewind and save this footage down to an exact second to show police.
By scanning the included QR Code, I was also able to download a ZOSI app onto my phone. This allowed me to view the live-feed from my mobile device. I can play back recorded video, as well as take screenshots. This allows me to keep an eye on my family and my home, even when I am unable to be there in person.
In the event that I need to expand my ZOSI 8-Channel Security System, I can add up to four more cameras to my DVR. Additional cameras, as well as accessories and larger systems can be purchased on the ZOSI Amazon page. I can not explain how much this system has given me peace of mind. Being able to keep an eye on my property and my family from anywhere in the world is such a blessing. This system is worth every penny, and works just as good as more expensive competitor brands.

In the age of crazies, it helps to have multiple security options to be safe. I like this idea as it serves dual purpose for the family.

I like the idea and I would love to have a camera for more security, but sometimes whoever want to break into our houses is so determined to do so, no camera can stop him! a guy one time wanted to break into my house while I was standing right there close to the door 😦

Wow this takes me back to my past. My dad used to set up a video camera out at the yard so he could see what was going on at night. I am not sure he caught anyone with it. But he was trying to protect our family I know.
