Jurassic Quest: Out Of Extinction

Both my daughter and my nephew are obsessed with dinosaurs, so naturally I wouldn’t pass up the chance to cover Jurassic Quest: Out Of Extinction when it came to our town! Jurassic Quest: Out Of Extinction is a dinosaur exhibit with over 80 life-size dinosaurs and tons of dino-themed activities. When we walked into the venue, we were immediately sent back into prehistoric times! There were dinosaurs everywhere we turned, and most of them moved! They were extremely realistic and we couldn’t get over how lifelike they looked! No one would keep still long enough for me to take a decent picture because there was so much to look at! I was a little scared that my daughter would be frightened by the sounds, however she was just as excited as everyone else! By each dinosaur there was a sign which had a few fun facts about each dino. The kids were thrilled to learn about everything we came across! It was honestly a task to get them out of the exhibit so that we could do some of the fun attractions and crafts! Once we seen every dinosaur in the exhibit, we made our way to the second story to do some arts and crafts. The kids were able to each color and create their own dinosaur, mold their own fossils, take a super cool green screen photo, and get their faces painted. I would highly suggest going to the green screen photo and the face painting first since the lines were extremely long. The company has a system that will hold your place in line, then text you when you need to head back up for your turn! I thought this was extremely neat and it allowed the kids to finish all of their crafts without feeling rushed. It also avoided the dreaded “how much longer” chant while waiting in line! Upstairs is also where we got to see the baby dinos! Baby dinos and walking dinos made an appearance every 30 minutes. This was my daughter’s personal favorite part of the exhibit! I mean, who doesn’t love baby dinosaurs?!

After finishing up our arts and crafts we made our way downstairs to the back of the building. This is where all of the attractions were placed. Here we were greeted by several bounce houses, dino karts, dino rides, dino digs, and so much more! Of course the kids ran to the bounce houses first (don’t worry if you forgot socks, the vendors sell them for $1)! Although the lines were a tad long, the staff did an amazing job of making sure everyone had equal times. There was no complaining and the kids had a fabulous time. My daughter was a bit too nervous to actually “ride” a dinosaur, however that was the only attraction she didn’t complete!

Jurassic Quest: Out Of Extinction was truly a fun event for the entire family. My daughter(3) and my nephew(6) had the times of their lives! Even I had fun looking at everything! Overall, we spent about four hours at the facility making sure we got to try everything possible. We could have stayed longer since there is no time limit, however the kids were exhausted! Jurassic Quest: Out Of Extinction is worth every penny and we plan to go next time they are in town! This exhibit is one that you truly don’t want to miss!
