“So Truly Mine” Collection from Ashton-Drake

Since 1985, The Ashton-Drake Galleries has been offering a wide variety of collectible dolls, doll accessories, and collectible plush. For as long as I can remember, I wanted an Ashton-Drake doll so badly. Their unique attention to detail and one of a kind designs were always quite stunning to me. When my daughter was born, I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share with her my love of Ashton-Drake. For her first birthday, my daughter Kinsley received her very first So Truly Real® collectible baby. When I stumbled upon the Ashton-Drake So Truly Mine collection, I knew Kinsley needed to have one of those as well! This collection is specially made for children ages 3 and up. They are handcrafted of RealTouch® vinyl and feature hand-painted features. They are weighted, poseable, and most importantly they can withstand the wear and tear of an active toddler!  I ordered Kinsley a brown haired, blue eyed doll the second I got near a computer.When the doll arrived, I ripped it out of the box to admire how adorable it truly was. The doll was 15-inches in size, which was perfect for my three year old. I couldn’t believe that this doll looked so realistic in person! She had dark brown hair, blue eyes, light skin, and even had a soft blush on her chubby little cheeks! Master Doll Artist Linda Murray even went a step further by making the doll weighted so it felt real in my daughter’s arms! Our So Truly Mine doll arrived wearing in a cloth diaper and pink sleeper trimmed with ribbon ruffles. I did order her an additional “play date set”  from the wide variety of So Truly Mine accessories. This set included a white long sleeve shirt, pink vest with blue flower accents, blue pants and pink sneakers!Kinsley wasn’t home when the doll arrived, so I had everything set up to surprise her the second she got home. When she walked through that door and spotted her new doll, she just couldn’t contain her excitement! She ran over and immediately started cuddling her! Since So Truly Mine dolls come with birth certificates, Kinsley was able to personalize her baby doll with a new name and date of birth. Within seconds, Kinsley’s new baby had a name: Mia Kate.The “So Truly Mine” Collection from Ashton-Drake is by far one of my favorite collections to date. Not only is the quality of the doll outstanding, but is was specially made with mini-moms in mind! Kinsley has been taking Mia Kate with us EVERYWHERE we go! Even requesting that Mia gets her own highchair at restaurants. These dolls are are so life-like, and go beyond the standard baby doll designs. The Ashton-Drake company has definitely outdone themselves with this adorable collection.
