Looking for something to do with your family this weekend? NOLA ChristmasFest is definitely the place to go! NOLA ChristmasFest is an event held at the New Orleans Convention Center throughout Christmas. You read that right! This is NOT a one-day event! From December 21st up until New Years Eve, you and your family can join the fun! My family and I decided to go opening weekend to see what all of the hype was about, and boy were we excited to attend!
When we arrived, it was extremely easy to find a parking spot and head inside. The lines were fairly long, but the staff kept everything moving fairly quickly. Once inside, we were transformed into a winter wonderland! With our POP (pay one price) tickets we had access to the ice skating rink (including skate rentals), ice slides, carnival rides, inflatables, the maze, the snowball fight arena, arts & crafts, the gingerbread house exhibit, holiday characters, and the decorated Christmas trees. You really can’t beat that price! The only things not included with our tickets were food and beverages, face painting, photographs with Santa and parking.
The kids started looking around to see what they wanted to do first, and of course they decided to go with the ice slides! No one in the family could pass them up! After the ice slides, we made our way to the snowball fight arena, and then to the maze. The kids were pretty tired after a few hours of fun, so we decided to grab a bite to eat and head out. We spent a total of four hours NOLA ChristmasFest, and only spent about $20 on food and drinks while there! I think for the amount of time and money spent, NOLA ChristmasFest is the perfect place to hang out and get your family into the Christmas spirit! The POP tickets make it extremely affordable, and there is so much to do that the kids are sure to never get bored!
