Last January I decided to let my daughter test out ABCmouse for the first time. For those of you who are unfamiliar with ABCmouse, it is the leading digital early learning resource for children ages 2–8. Their program has over 9,000 learning activities and over 850 lessons across 10 levels. My daughter Kinsley began using ABCmouse in January of 2017 right before her third birthday. After one full year of constant ABCmouse lesson plans, I am extremely excited to give my readers an update on Kinsley’s progress. Kinsley spends about an hour every two days playing ABCmouse on her tablet. Sometimes she plays it every single day, depending on what we have scheduled. Since she earns “tickets” each time she completes a lesson, her ABCmouse “room” and her ABCmouse pets have gotten quite the upgrade since we first got them one year ago! She spends all of her “tickets” taking care of them and upgrading their features. Kinsley started out on the Preschool Level 1 program which is for children age 2-3 who are just beginning to learn about numbers and letters. After completing a year of lessons, today I reassessed her to see if we are on the right track and note any improvements. Kinsley scored a 75% on her Preschool assessment, which is much better than she did a year ago. Using the table, I was able to see which skills Kinsley did great in, and which she needed more help with. She is currently in the beginning stages of counting aloud (she can count to 12), and has a developing skill in Beginning Letters, Beginning Sounds, Recognizing Numbers 1 to 10, Uppercase Letters, and Lowercase Letters. She is also proficient in Rhyming Words, 2D Shapes, and Picture Vocabulary while her Quantities/Sizes, and Counting Objects 1 to 10 exceed proficiency.
As of today, Kinsley will begin the Preschool Level 2 program, which is for children 3-5 who are working on letters, counting 1-5, shapes, colors, and more. From checking out her progress tracker, I can see that Kinsley has completed 0 out of 75 lessons available since she just started this program. I can also see her subject progress and how many tickets earned/spent. I can’t wait to see how much she learns after this new level begins!

this looks really cool for the little ones, it is so weird knowing how much technology has evolved, like when I was a kid I didn’t have a computer I was like 10 when I had my first computer.

This sounds really great and helpful. As much technology can be destructing sometimes, it did helpy son learn a lot on even how to speak and be more talkative.
