Over the years we have tried hundreds of “fresh breath” treats for our fur babies, none of which were good enough to stick with. We have tried treats, water enhancers, and even breath spray. Some of them worked well, but our fur babies absolutely hated them. When I found these Merrick Fresh Kisses Double-Brush Mint Breath Strips I figured they would be worth a shot. These treats clean teeth and freshen breath at the same time. They are designed with a double-brush action to get in between teeth and help keep them clean with every bite. I was nervous that my dog would turn his nose up at these treats, but much to my surprise he gave them a try. Since the treats are fairly hard, he was able to chew on it for quite some time like a bone. He loves bones, so I think the texture was one of his favorite parts. Unlike a lot of bones on the market, these treats are easily digestible since they are made with natural peas, alfalfa, tapioca and gelatin! These Fresh Kisses come in other flavors as well, so I can’t wait to let him try the Coconut Oil & Botanical ones. So far these have been a hit and have stuck with us much longer than previous brands. Fingers crossed that he continues to enjoy them!
