The bObi Classic Robotic Vacuum Cleaner and Mop is the most agile of the bObsweep cleaners, so naturally we had to test it out. This brand of robotic vacuums has been one of our all time favorites to feature, yet we have never gotten our hands on the classic version before today! So what makes this classic version so special? The bObi Classic has a wonderful minimalist design making it perfect for each and every home. Like other versions, the bObi Classic is extremely user friendly and features three touchscreen buttons. It also has an extremely slim frame and over 80 sensors which allows is to slip easily underneath furniture and steer clear of steep drops. With its 5-in-1 cleaning powers, this version extracts dirt and dust while the brushes reel in larger bits; attach the mop and bObi finishes with a shine while UV lights kill floor bacteria! Why wouldn’t you want to add this handy helper to your home?
The bObi Classic comes with a charging station, two main brushes, a charging adapter, a remote control, a screwdriver, two side brushes, a cleaning tool, a mop extension, extra screws, extra blindfold stickers, a filter refill, a syncing tool, and a user’s manual. As usual, the spare parts are extremely handy when owning any kind of robotic vacuum. The three touch buttons on top of bObi are easily explained inside of the user manual. The GO! button activates bObi’s default cleaning mode. WAFFLE cleaning mode can be used to clean up small spills of dry substances in an area of approximately 10 square feet for 3 minutes. The JUICE button makes bObi stop cleaning and start searching for her
charging station. bObi automatically enters Juice mode when battery level falls below 15%. The included remote control allows users to do much more than simply clean the floor. It allows users to schedule a cleaning, control bObi’s movements, and change bObi’s cleaning modes.
Setting this robotic vacuum up was extremely easy. The charging dock and charging adapter plugged in easily, and it took less than an hour for bObi to get a full charge. I decided to let bObi complete one full clean around the house. I did use the remote to control bObi’s movements, however I let it go on its own for the most part. I do have several pets (one dog and two cats), so I was excited to see how this Classic version did with pet hair. One full cleaning cycle lasted about 30 minutes and bObi made its way into three of the rooms in our house. I blocked off my daughter’s room and both bathrooms. Side note: I did not sweep for several days before doing this test. I was extremely surprised at how much bObi picked up after just one clean. Not only did I empty out a ton of dirt and random paper, there was a huge cat hair ball! I did have to clean out bObi’s wheels after this clean, but it go the job done extremely quickly and I didn’t have to lift a finger! The classic version is not my all-time favorite bObi brand robotic vacuum (I am still in love with my PetHair version from several months ago), however I was extremely impressed! This is a great version for people who have never owned a robotic vacuum before. Very user friendly and extremely easy to clean.
