Split-Ender PRO2

I know I wasn’t the only person curious about the Split-Ender PRO when it hit shelves. I mean, it seriously seemed too good to be true. A device that can safely trim split ends at home without sacrificing length? Yeah, okay. After seeing reviews floating around on social media, I decided to reach out to the brand to see about trying one out for myself. I am the biggest skeptic when it comes to tools like this because “quick fixes” tend to be disappointing in terms of actual execution. The Split-Ender PRO claims to use Surgy-Trim™ System Technology to safely trim the ends of your hair where split ends start while preserving the healthy hair. The Split-Ender unique patented “Hair Plate” is specially designed to guide hair strands evenly through the strand guards and forcing them to stand straight up when reaching the center of the hair plate. The blades snip the tip by approximately 1/8″ to 1/4″ depending of the spacer type that you select. This all sounds wonderful, but does it actually work? Can the Split-Ender PRO actually make my hair look healthier without chopping off 2 inches of ends? I finally got my hands on the Split-Ender PRO2 to find out!

My split ender arrived fairly quickly, however I was a little disappointed that the company requires a signature to pick up. It did take me a few days to be able to actually pick the device up from USPS since I work all week. However, I was extremely excited to finally test out this super cutting-edge (see what I did there?) device! I decided to test my Split-Ender PRO on Facebook Live (which you can see HERE), so that my followers could see exactly how the Split-Ender PRO worked- and whether or not it would chop all of my hair off which seems to be a FAQ for shoppers. I was extremely nervous about using the device for the first time, simply because it is literally cutting the ends of my hair. I followed the instructions carefully to ensure the best outcome.

The instructions say to do the following: Step 1– Wash and dry hair, Step 2– Comb the hair completely free of tangles, Step 3– Divide the hair into two half sections and clip aside one half, Step 4– Select a thin section of hair, Step 5– Open the hair plate by sliding the LOCK ON button to the LOCK OFF position, Step 6– Select the ARROW pointing to the floor until it turns green (The directional switch is reversible, so as you switch from one hand to the other you also need to reverse the blade), Step 7– Place the thin section of hair on top of the hair plate, Step 8– Gently squeeze the hair plate until the unit activates. Start at the top while holding the section of hair with one hand and the Split-Ender PRO with the other. Work towards the ends and slowly comb the hair with the Split-Ender PRO all the way to the bottom just like you would do with a flat iron., Step 9– Treat each section of hair 3 times, Step 10– Empty the hair camber housing

Much to my surprise, I was able to do my hair without any major issues. If you watched my Facebook Live video you can see that I was a bit nervous on the very first strand of hair, however I got the rhythm down fairly quickly! The device was extremely easy to use, and results are immediately noticeable. Since I have a lot of split ends, it was easy for me to feel the difference in my hair after only one use. I was blown away with how full the hair chamber was after only one use! Emptying the chamber was oddly satisfying as I swept out all of the ugly little hairs!

The hairs are extremely small. I swept them all together to show the total amount. That is why some of the hairs look longer than others.

So, is the Split-Ender PRO worth the $119-$199 price tag? My verdict is YES! For people like me who tend to do a lot of damage to their hair with heating devices, we tend to get a ton of split ends. Most hair stylists recommend getting a trim every 8 to 12 weeks, which is about $43 a cut and $172 a year. The Split-Ender PRO2 is a one-time payment for a device that can be used as often as you want (recommended every 4 to 6 weeks). In my opinion the tool basically pays for itself! Split-Ender PRO2 also offers a limited one year warranty that covers any manufacturer defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. Therefore if your product malfunctions, they will send a replacement! The Split-Ender PRO2 is definitely a great purchase, and I am so glad I decided to put it to the test!

The creators of Split-Ender PRO2 would like consumers to be aware that there are a lot of low-quality imitations in the market. To ensure perfect results, be sure to purchase the original SplitEnder PRO by Talavera. Talavera will not replace nor honor their warranty for products purchased from unauthorized sellers on Ebay, Amazon, and other internet retailers.
