My daughter is a HUGE bookworm, so any time I find a great new children’s book I am sure to order it. When I stumbled across the Lost My Name website, I knew my daughter Kinsley would LOVE the story “The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name”. The story is about a little girl that loses her name and she has to go on an adventure to remember what she is called. Each creature/person she meets along the way gives her a letter to help her on her journey. At the end of the story she puts all of the letters together and remembers what she is called! Imagine my daughter’s surprise when she realized the story was all about her! This story is completely customizable and each unique name tells a different story. Since my daughter’s name is Kinsley, throughout the story the creatures/people give her the letters K, I, N, S, L, E, and Y. For example, she first encounters a knight which gives her the K crest off of his shield! Next, she encountered am Imp which gives her an I so that people wouldn’t be scared when they heard his new name-M.P. I really loved that I was even able to select a character that looked most like Kinsley! I believe this book would make the perfect gift for any child of any age and gender! The story comes in both girl AND boy forms, offers a total of 6 different character options, and four different formats (Deluxe, Softcover, Hardcover, or Softcover Keepsake). We chose the softcover option which is made with thick, child-friendly paper but I definitely regret not ordering her the deluxe version! The deluxe version comes with a hardcover book, a cloth-bined spine, and comes with an adorable box for safe-keeping.
